Wild times on planet earth.

A new virus is plaguing the people of earth, and people have died, but a lot more people are afraid.
Now attention is being drawn by a new occurrence of an older scourge; locusts. Locusts are swarming across Africa, moving northward
and outward, feasting on our food crops as they go. This is a page out of the oldest books of the Bible. one statistic states that a swarm
of less than one square mile can exhaust the food crop that would feed about 35,0000 people, daily, as it moves over the land. This oldest
pest, is also a humanitarian threat. Already Somalia and Pakistan have declared a state of emergency. The United Nations has estimated
that it will cost at least $138 million in US dollars.

How will that be accomplished? Well probably with pesticides; poison to the pests, yes, but also a way to destroy clean, productive farm
land that is still providing foods with natural nutrition and flavor. It is certainly a problem that invites us to expand our understandings
and find new solutions. The health and well being of our children and grandchildren depend on this. We have the ability to find new solutions
that destroy less or not at all, as they save us from this pest.

"It was not until he learned to think, to value knowledge and apply it with competent skill that he began to dominate his environment.", L. Ron
Hubbard. This is a vital perspective right now. Both these plagues are creating economic disruption that will add to the misery they directly
create. Let us find solutions that do not cause further harm.
