A New Aspect of the Planetary Moral Code is Social Distancing

Social distancing is a moral code now. We are following it to benefit ourselves and each other.

Today I went for a walk with two close friends. We walked single file down a side walk, talking across our 6 and 12 feet distances. We gave wide berth to those approaching, who were also walking single file, but we greeted each as we passed

We are in a lovely area midway down the Florida's west coast, and the sun was setting in soft blues, grey and yellows. We took a turn to go out on a pier, but it was closed. The sign said it was closed due to Covid-19. There were 3 benches, situated perfectly for a socially distant conversation, so we sat and talked. We said hello to the people around us, and they were happy to be recognized. And so were the dogs who were out with their humans. And so were we.

There is a new moral code: social distancing. It is a moral code because it is being followed by the members of the human race in a mutual benefit for all. We stay safe by keeping each other safe. It is now normal operations to follow this procedure. This also means we won't loose the freedom of movement we have left. If too many of us fail to uphold this behavior, it will cost all of us. There is, correctly, peer pressure, however gentle. It is behavior harmful to the group and race to break the social distancing rules, and thus it is immoral. "Joy and pleasure do not come from immorality." L.Ron Hubbard.
