Ecomass is continuously developing and refining new thermoplastics to expand its material wheelhouse anddeliver solutions tailored to our customer’s specific application needs. Surely it is a constant endeavour in the movement for greener technologies and choices, but it is a path on which Ecomass is happy to embark. Whether motivated from a regulatory, moral, or bottom-line concern, sustainable development has become a growing priority for businesses and governments today. Ecomass Technologies’ goal is to provide materials to empower companies to meet their environmental concerns while protecting their bottom line.

Ecomass Compounds are a line of trademarked, non-toxic, high-density thermoplastic composites that can be processed on traditional injection moulding and extrusion equipment. Ecomass Compounds are being developed using a variety of polymers base resins and metal powder weighting agents to fulfil a variety of customer specifications.

Ecomass Compounds have been specified as a successful, eco-friendly material alternative in a number of programs which range from non-toxic frangible projectiles to rays protecting, radiation shielding programs for atomic reactors and x-ray emitting devices and equipment. Ecomass Compounds are also being utilized in many other programs such as instrument housing, inertia discs, automotive components, golf club shaft weights, casino chips, headphones and more.

Ecomass Technologies is in full compliance with the RoHS Declaration and SEC Form SD regarding conflict minerals. Ecomass Compounds do not contain any toxic constituents, or any material that is considered harmful or dangerous according to the Ecological Protection Agency’s (EPA) Hazardous Ingredients Priority List. Ecomass Substance NJ-96TP has met the specifications of ISO 10993-5, Scientific Assessment of Medical Devices, Part 5. Ecomass Compounds have also been evaluated for RCRA characteristics and do not meet the criteria of a hazardous waste if discarded in their purchased form. Additionally, Ecomass Compounds do not become a “Mixed Waste” if contaminated with a radioactive waste.
