Jindal Steel & Power Ltd, Barbil bags AIMA award

Jindal Steel & Power Ltd (JSPL), Barbil has been declared as the runners up at All India Management Association (AIMA) HR Practices Contest-2015 held at New Delhi on 10th Dec'2015. The Topic for this year’s case study contest was “Re-inventing HR Practices for the New Workforce”.

JSPL, Barbil has presented the case study on best practices in Learning & Development which also included the creation of the new Learning Center. A total of 42 companies across India participated in the case study competition out of which top 12 were shortlisted and finally only two case studies, including that of JSPL, were awarded.

Congratulating the team Mr. TS Shanbhogue said, “Innovation is a part of our ongoing business culture.  We have a strategy in place to encourage the young employees to be creative and innovate new techniques to make our HR more productive and vibrant.  This award further raises the bar further for excellence performance”.  

On behalf of JSPL, Barbil AVP-HR Mr. Alok Malhotra, Dy. Manager-HR Mr. Sarthak Kar, and Dy.Manager-HR Mr. Soumeek Das, received the award from Padmashree T.V. Mohandas Pai, Vice President-AIMA during the 13th National HRM Summit organized by AIMA.

Recently, JSPL’s Barbil unit has been conferred with ABP News HR & Leadership Award under the category "HR Excellence Awards for Innovation" & Global Training & Development Leadership Award under the category "Award for Best Results Based Training" by World HRD at Mumbai.
