Starlight-Digital are set to attend the SME National Business Awards in the hope of being named the UK’s ‘Best New Business’.

After a surprise win at the SME Northamptonshire Awards in July, founder Steven and the team have been hard at work to keep up with demand for their digital services. “It’s been a great year,” smiles Steven. “Busy, but great!”

Established by Steven Mikellides, a Drum award-winning digital marketing specialist with over 12 years’ agency experience, Starlight began post-pandemic in 2021.

With just one client and the hope of blending big agency experience with a bespoke boutique approach, Steven’s innate determination became the driving force underpinning the vision for his emerging digital marketing agency.

Becoming a certified Google and Microsoft Partner in their first six months of business, Steven spent the following year building the team and bringing on clients across a multitude of industries - including ecommerce, travel and leisure, publishing, AI, education and finance.

Now in their third year, with an award win under their belts and a 7-strong team of digital architects, Starlight continue to deliver on their promise of a dynamic client experience.

Celebrating the very best of UK business, Steven is hopeful. “We’re up against some stiff competition,” he admits, “but we’re really inspired by our fellow SMEs who have been celebrated for their graft and grit. The energy around that pursuit of progress - it’s infectious."

The SME National Business Awards, now in their 7th year, take place on Friday 1st December 2023 at Wembley Stadium.
