The Spinpro Company’s continued focus on quality and meeting the customers’ requirements has led to the improvement and the expansion of the business operation.

Spinpro geotextile bags for use in on-site dislodging wastewater projects have several advantages over the conventional methods which are often unaffordable to the contractors and authorities with limited budgets. The benefits of using these bags for sludge removal includes efficient retention of solids, ease of operation, cost optimization and environmental regulations. Another advantage in this dewatering system is passive hence does not require constant maintenance and monitoring of equipment.

The filtration process of geotextile properties which works well in retaining the fine-grained materials found in sewage while enabling the water to pass through makes them suitable for desludging ponds. The effluent that eventually passes through the woven fabric can then be transferred to designated safe disposal site being that it meets all the regulation set by the department of water affairs.

When wastewater treatment ponds reach their capacity the only options that are available are either to empty the existing ponds or to build new ones so as to make additional space available for the waste. “The traditional methods of containing waste which often requires a large amount of space, frequent dredging and stringent environmental permits are normally unavoidable to most authorities” Explains the company’s geotextile engineer. This means feasible study needed to be found to dispose of the extracted material through the desludging process which is not hindered by the budget constraints and any limited space available.

“The use of geotextile dewatering bags is now recognized worldwide as one of the most efficient and economical methods to achieve the required process and to boost the functionality and the safety of wastewater treatment work”. Made by UV stabilized woven Polypropylene geotextile materials, these bags are incorporated in the process of dislodging the wastewater treatment. This refers to the process which is used to convert the wastewater into an effluent that can be taken back to the environment with very minimal environmental impact.

Once this is done, these solid particles are separated from the effluent and taken to a designated safe disposal site or stored is a storage facility at the wastewater treatment plant. Dewatering bags also allows the water to flow through the porous geotextile fabric of the bags while filtering any solids. In the recent local projects where wastewater treatment plants had reached their maximum storage capacity, this solution is meant to remove sludge from the existing tailing facilities by using geotextile dewatering bags on the site.

With so many years of business, the Spinpro Company’s continued focus on quality and meeting the customers’ requirements has led to the improvement and the expansion of the business operation.
