the global imaging solutions leader, has announced a change in leadership, appointing the company stalwart Mr. Manabu Yamazaki as the new President & CEO, effective April 2021. He succeeds Mr. Kazutada Kobayashi, who ably steered the company’s growth story in India for over 9 years.

Mr. Yamazaki brings with him over 32 years of brand association, wherein his stellar work experience in product technology and global marketing has unlocked new opportunities for consistent growth. Having begun his Canon journey at Canon Inc., Japan, in 1989, right after graduating from Sophia University, he went on to spearhead Canon’s expansion and innovation, especially in inkjet, laser printing and scanning businesses across global markets including Asia, Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Right before taking up the reigns in India, Mr. Yamazaki was responsible for the Group’s inkjet, laser printing and scanning business in China and was concurrently appointed as the Chief Regional Officer of Eastern-China at Canon China Co. Ltd.

Now, he is tasked with the exciting new opportunity to continue Canon’s excellent legacy in India by strategically strengthening the core business as well as leading the brand’s foray into new market segments. At present, Canon in India markets a comprehensive range of innovative, sophisticated, and modern digital imaging products and solutions which includes Digital Cameras, DSLRs, Cinematic Imaging Products, Printers, Copier MFDs, Document and Cheque Scanners and Managed Document Services catering to multiple market segments across B2C, B2B, SMBs, Commercial and Government & PSUs. The brand has also been actively adapting to ever changing consumer needs, especially in the wake of the pandemic, resulting in an improved customer service experience, an augmented product portfolio, simplified customer businesses and a larger footprint of regional outlets.
