Lydia Bright: I'm not planning an Arg wedding yet

TOWIE’s Lydia Bright is in no rush to marry boyfriend James ‘Arg’ Argent.

The reality TV couple rekindled their romance last year after an on-off relationship for the last few years. While the pair are stronger than ever, the 25-year-old admits fans won’t get to see a TOWIE wedding in the near future.

“We are much older now and we have had some time apart and met other people but we’ve always been drawn back to each other, we are childhood sweethearts,” she told British newspaper the Daily Mail. “It is definitely long term but marriage won’t be any time soon. Although marriage and children is something I am planning towards in the future. A happy life with the family eventually - but not any time soon.”


For now, the couple are just enjoying working together on the ITVBe show. But Lydia confesses it can get tough being in such close proximity to each other as the series goes on.

“It’s really fun but sometimes it is hard working alongside your partner. Although we don’t always get to see each other as much, we do look forward filming because we have that time together,” she said. “Me and James have little bickers towards the end of a series where I just think, ‘No we’re spending too much time with each other’ You’re in and out of each other’s pockets constantly but they are always very silly and we get over them very quickly.”

While Lydia acknowledges there are downsides to airing her dirty laundry in such a public domain, she has no plans to leave the show.

“When you’re going through a bad time on TOWIE, it’s a lot harder to deal with it when everyone knows your business and everyone asks questions,” she explained. “You take the good with the bad. Our emotions and our highs and lows are a little bit more extreme than others but you know, I love being on TOWIE, it is a fantastic opportunity.”
