Sean Erick Cummings is all too aware of the hours of reading and studying that goes into earning a college degree. What makes Sean Erick Cummings' even more impressive is the fact he has gone through the routine three times. Motivated to complete what he started, Sean Erick Cummings never considered dropping out of school or quitting a possibility.
Told repeatedly as a child that he better go to college, Sean Erick Cummings accepted that additional years of school work past high school would be obligatory. This helped frame his way of thinking about university. Instead of college being optional, it was a necessity.
"I earned my first degree through the University of Phoenix. I completed my Bachelor of Science in Marketing in 2002," says Sean Erick Cummings. While the university is commonly known for its online degree earning capabilities, Sean Erick Cummings cared more about having a degree than how he earned it.
"I knew that having a bachelor's degree was becoming increasingly common. In many cases, a bachelor's degree is about as useful as a high school diploma. To set myself apart from other college educated individuals, I decided to earn my master's degree," says Sean Erick Cummings. He attended Arizona State University's W.P. Cary School of Business where he earned his Master's in business administration.
With a degree in marketing and a degree in business administration, Sean Erick Cummings figured he had studied the two fields many companies would look to hire. "I finished my master's in 2008. The economy was falling apart. So many people couldn't find jobs or were losing their jobs, so I decided to return to school," says Sean Erick Cummings.
He attended Washington State University. "I completed a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting. I figured it would compliment my other two degrees well," says Sean Erick Cummings. He completed his degree in 2012, and looks forward to using all of them throughout his career.
