A workshop was conducted by Mrs. Smita Santosh for the empowering teacher to deal with Students with different Temperament and Capabilities. She shared her experience as a parent, teacher and a friend to bring out the best from each child. A teacher is the one who can easily change a student's attitude with her effective teaching, voice modulation and specifying the rules to be followed in the class on the. FIRST DAY of the class. She mentioned how A MUST, PARENTS INVOLVEMENT helps teacher to bring out the best in children. To improve ATTENTION SPAN, teachers should motivate students to read more n more. A tutor can't replace a teacher; hence parents should be advised to opt coaching classes for competitive exams in class XII only.

Following cases were discussed:

Disruptive Children: Who can be dealt by giving them attention and some responsibility or sometimes taking away their privileges.

Daily Systematic Study Plan: Students should be given a study plan and advised to follow it day wise and subject wise.

Rules: When the new session starts, and the teachers interacts with the students for the 1st time, she should specify the rules to be followed in the class so that they know their limitations.

Parent Counseling: PARENTS are the ROLE MODELS for the overall healthy mind development of the child, Parents involvement is a MUST. Hence Parent should be advised to spend time with the child in academics, sports and his/her daily routine activities. Focus in COACHING should be reduced. Should be opted only for competitive exam. To inculcate READING habit, they should read Newspaper/ a book/ magazine/ any readable with the child which will enhance their KNOWLEDGE, VISION AND THINKING ABILITY.

Reduced Attention Span: The teachers can do voice modulation or give them incentives.

On the whole the workshop was an interactive session. It was interesting and a good learning experience for the teachers to excel as a teacher. Unique and proven approach by our teachers allows a child to grow as a perfect human being.
