Matthias has worked in the localization industry for more than 15 years. He was a co-founder of the Germany-based IT localization company, Locatech GmbH, which later merged with Jonckers Translation & Engineering, one of Europe’s largest language service providers. Matthias has also served as a member of the board and a spokesperson for the Globalization and Localization Association (GALA).

In his new role at Language Connect, Matthias will be provide management support and strategic guidance to sustain the fast growth that Language Connect has experienced in German-speaking markets since it opened an office in Munich in 2009. Matthias will report to Language Connects Managing Director, Ben Taylor, based in the UK. Commenting on Matthias’s appointment, Ben said: “Matthias joins us at an exciting time for our German business. We have acquired a number of multinational clients based in Germany, Austria and Switzerland and been very successful in supporting them with their international language requirements.
