Rembert, South Carolina (November 9, 2012) – Modern Turf, Inc., a South-Carolina-based turfgrass production company, announced it has completed installation of new putting greens at Old Natchez, one of Tennessee’s oldest courses still in existence.

Old Natchez, a 6,448-yard, par 71 course, was designed by Gary Roger Baird. The course opened in 1893.

Hank Kerfoot, president of Modern Turf, said, “Old Natchez looks and feels like something out of the Scottish countryside: the beautiful trees, stone walls and rolling greens are magical. The Tennessee heat and humidity, however, were no friends to the preexisting bentgrass greens. We are thrilled to have been brought in to convert the existing greens to MiniVerde Ultradwarf Bermudagrass.”
