NIFT written entrance examination for the year 2018 was held on 21st January and its results are likely to be announced soon by the end of February or early March. The delay may be due to the fact that a record number of people have taken the NIFT entrance exam in 2018. According to some inside sources, this figure is closer to three and a half lacs. This entrance examination provides the opportunity to pupils who wish to pursue a career in design and fashion in the top design college in India- the National Institute of Fashion Technology for undergraduate courses. Aspirants who have applied for B.F. Tech at NIFT have only one entrance test (GAT) to appear for, unlike the B. Des pursuers who also need to take a situation test (CAT) after passing the GAT. So while the former group can patiently wait for the results of GAT to come out, the later must continue their NIFT preparation for the second phase. Although it may not seem justifiable for many as there is always some uncertainty regarding the outcome.
