As soon as the relaxation was announced, we resumed operations maintaining all the safety protocols applied by the Government and local authorities. Apart from the execution part, planning designing and engineering operations are mostly software based here. At Crescent, in-house team of design and product development is working with the help of modern software to design patterns and run simulation programmes. Crescent is functioning with the recommended percentage of workforce to execute customized packaging, labelling along with managing shipment activities, in-house fabrication work and so on.
The organisational change has been implemented in a very systematic way here keeping a balance between regular work and safety norms. Executives, managers and even each and every individual associated with operations have been trying to adjust with the ‘new normal’ realising the demand of current times. Previously, each audit mode had to be dealt physically. The person-in-charge had to monitor and assess each operation. A factory tour used to be a physical tour by a customer for evaluating observations. Realising the emergency, high resolution cameras have been installed inside factories to provide customers with live digital tours via streaming apps. Auditor is free to ask for any pictures or clarification if required from such platforms. Secondly, process audit is where customers used to verify process capability during the tour. This newly installed advanced CF is capable of demonstrating all queries during that virtual factory tour. The system is designed to show all facts with the camera right at that moment.
Product inspection is another significant part of the audit. It involves inspection of load testing, dimensions, surface finish and packaging. Video based inspection is now possible from home. Apart from that, digital platforms like Skype, Zoom have been put into use for business communication and meetings.

Additionally, tarpaulin housing tents were distributed to support affected communities after the tropical cyclone Amphan hit Bengal. The world is going through a lot currently.
