The Zuri White Sands, Goa: On 12th & 13th of May 2017 the 2nd Annual SMART TECH BFSI conference cum exhibition was held in Goa, which engaged 200+ C’ level delegates. The agenda of this event was to address the key issues of banking transformation and innovation by bringing on board expert speakers from the industry.
This one-of-a-kind event brought together industry experts as well as innovative business leaders in financial services, technology, research and development who addressed and provided updated information and solutions to the challenges faced by the Industry. Nelito Systems had participated as the “Financial Technology Partner” for the event.

Mr. Punit Jain, CEO Nelito Systems along with Mr. Abhishant Pant, Founder Cashless Journey and Mr. Nitin Bhandari, Country Director, South Asia – Digital, Business, Western Union were part of an editorial Session - Future of Digital Finance. This panel discussion emphasized on online banking, mobile banking apps and, most recently, contactless payment technologies as mass adoption.
Mr. Punit Jain also emphasized on digital microfinance solutions which prove to be cost effective and provide faster and smarter service. He also stated that, “the power of technology and digitization is when it benefits the unbanked”. Due to demonetisation, the banking and financial sectors have transitioned to a less-cash era.
This step has not only encouraged rural sector to take loans but to start businesses, earn money and improve their livelihood. Digital transformation of microfinance institutions has empowered micro businesses to avail loans much quicker due to instant credit scoring, customer on-boarding and loan disbursement.
The two-day conference focused on how financial digitization and digital business promise a universe of applications and digitalised assets that work together to help BFSI sector serve its customers better and improve business effectiveness.
