In Zen philosophy it is said that ‘The wise don’t strive to arrive. Life is not about getting somewhere in a hurry, but enjoying the journey to the fullest.’ College Annual Day is the perfect example of this for the students to showcase their talents by taking part in many events and to get out of their day to day activities. Celefiesta which is touted as the biggest annual Gathering of Igatpuri was recently held at the SMBT College’s campus on the eve of Valentine’s Day weekend. Father Robert D’Costa kick-started the event by lighting the ceremonial lamp. Many notable personalities from the medical sector were present at the event like Dr. Varsha Tambe who is the Director of SMBT Dental College, Dr. Harshal Tambe who is the Managing Trustee, SMBT Sevabhavi Trust, Prof. Balkrishna Deshpande who is the Administrative officer at SMBT Dental College, Dr. Ashok Patil who is the Principal of SMBT Dental College, Mr. Dashrath Varpe who is the Chief Financial Officer at SMBT Sevabhavi Trust and the Programme Co-ordinator of Integrated & Tribal Water Shed Development Programme of Sangamner was also there. All the students from the college participated whole heartedly and gave a laudable performance. The highlight events were the events like Fashion show, Dance and Group events like Group dance. There was also a Short Skit Musical Drama performed by the students. The event concluded on a high note as everybody danced, sang and partied on the tunes of the DJ.
