Lt-Col Saeed Obaid bin Aran, Director of Traffic and Patrols Department of the UAQ Police Directorate General, said no car rental agency has the license to tint any of their rented vehicles.

According to the police department, they have arrested numerous young people doing drugs and other illegal activities behind the protection of window tints in the rental cars. They have evidence of numerous rental cars being used in illegal activities and conspiracies.

The regular cases of overspeeding and tinting windows more than the designated limit are some common issues that have been seen in rental cars by the police. That’s why after seeing all these cases, authorities decided to ban window tinting for rental cars to control the illegal activities.

Penalties:
If you are still using the current tinted on your rental car, then you should be ready to pay some serious consequences and penalties to the police. According to the latest window tints, if you are caught with tinted windows, then you should be splashed with the penalty of 500 Dh. And, if you don’t listen to the police, then be ready to spend 30 days or even more behind the bars.
