Ryan Weir Promoted to Banking Advisor for one of the Largest Banks of New Zealand.

After quickly learning the teller role while working with the local branch of a New Zealand-based bank, Ryan Weir showed tremendous promise.

 
Not even a full year after he started to work as a teller while being employed with one of the biggest banks in New Zealand, Ryan Weir earned another promotion. After a short vetting process, he became a Banking Advisor. His new role required a significantly increased – and at the same time, much more diverse – scope of duties and responsibilities, which he took on gladly. In his new advisory role, it was important to not underestimate the impact of his new function, as it involved not just the delivery of certain bank goals, but also required him to be a team player who was willing to provide an exemplary customer experience.

To be a successful Banking Advisor, he had to meet personal, cross, and referral targets, work in unison with other team members to attract new clients, provide a seamless customer experience, and ensure that every customer felt wanted. This required a diverse and very detailed customer experience mindset, in which every client’s concerns were a top priority for his team and his department. Ryan Weir and his colleagues had to handle every customer complaint with special care, making sure that their clients were always comfortable enough to let them know about potential issues.

Some of Ryan’s other responsibilities included being first to welcome new customers, and providing them help throughout the account creation process, as well as generating sales, building and maintaining effective working relationships with other advisors, making sure to follow the instructions of the line manager, and complying with rules and procedures that the bank regularly required.

In the Banking Advisors role, Ryan Weir was coached and supported by the Bank Manager and the Customer Banking Manager, receiving guidance from them whenever the situation warranted it. His efforts in the Banking Advisor function were in sync with the bank’s goals and financial aspirations. After a successful start to his career with the Mosgiel-based branch, Ryan Weir was quickly tasked to deal with high-value branch clients, in addition to being asked to offer top notch aid throughout the often stressful banking process.
