Further details were revealed by top executives of the company, in a recent press meet organised in the city. They also highlighted the nature of all services offered by the company.

“We are organising a matchmaking event for the Punjabi community on 27th November 2016. The event will be hosted in the auditorium of the ISKON temple, located on Hare Krishna Hill, in Greater Kailash, Delhi. The event will go on from 1 pm to 5 pm. Snacks will be served to families attending the event,” said an executive of royalmatrimonial.com.

Royal matrimonial has emerged as the premier site for connecting Punjabi and SikhSingles, based in Delhi. The company was launched in 2006 by Gaurav Chhabra. They started out from a small office in Rohini but overwhelming response inspired them to expand to Rajauri garden office where the team functioned for 4 years. “Today we operate out of an office in Punjabi Bagh, where we have been successfully playing cupid for Punjabi singles in Delhi,” said an executive.

The process of matchmaking is done in a systematic way. The company employs professionals of the wedding market who assist families in all stages of matchmaking. The process involves three types of service levels for matchmaking event by Royal Matrimonial: Basic, Bichola and Swayamvar.
The first step is to register with the company. For the registration process, the clients have to fill in a form with basic details of the bride or groom (education, age, horoscope), etc. Payment must be made according to the package chosen (Basic, Bichola or Swyamavar).

The company will then send a relationship manager to pay a welcome call to the client’s premises to collect extensive details like passion, hobbies, lifestyle, siblings, finances, etc. On the basis of these details collected, the Royal Matrimonial team will create a profile of the candidate for the wedding and upload it to the database of the company.

The first type of service offered after registration is Basic service. It costs Rs. 15,000. The team chooses ideal profiles suited for the candidate from the database and will forward details of such cases to the clients. If clients find a match in which they are interested, they may arrange a meeting, and the company will not mediate anymore.

The second type is Bichola service in which the relationship managers of the company assist the client from the first meeting between the clients till the culmination of marriage. The company charges Rs36,000 which is valid for six months. “Our relationship team helps in making matches and will keep clients up to date on progress in the matrimonial process,’ said an executive.

The third type of service is that of holding matchmaking events called as Punjabi Swayamvar. Here, the company holds a matchmaking event in great locations like 5-star hotels where over 200 Punjabi families are invited to attend. Profiles of candidates are displayed, and families are invited to introduce themselves and give their details in this huge get-together. When candidates and families are interested in each other, meetings are arranged with their Basic or Bichola Services.
