Burbank, Calif. (December 17, 2015) - Owning your own home is the American dream for many hard-working people across the country. Once a mortgage is signed, it comes with great responsibility, financial risk and, as demonstrated in the movie Impervious, sometimes horrific nightmares.

As a first-time homeowner, Katie, played by actress Daneah Underwood, is excited to have a piece of property to call her own. However, when she moves in, she has no idea of the horrors that are yet to come.

Everything starts out normal as Katie spends days moving in boxes, hanging pictures and re-arranging furniture. It’s not until she begins exploring the basement that her troubles begin. In the room, which is eerily dark, damp and cold, Katie finds a stack of old photos of a family who once lived in the house she now owns. When she discovers that the family members were all murdered, an unsettling feeling definitely comes over her, but at the time she doesn’t really think much of it.

However, as Katie delves deeper into the circumstances surrounding their untimely deaths, frightening – and truly chilling – things begin to happen.

Director Al Hallak, who also wrote the story and is the project’s producer, promises that movie goers will be on the edge of their seat during the entire film.

“There is not one moment when audiences will be able to relax,” he said. “The movie takes one blood-curdling turn after another. It is a horror movie to the greatest extreme and the storyline will grip you and never let you go.”

Filming for the horror flick, with the screenplay written by Darwin Carlisle, is under way now. The film is scheduled to be released in 2017.
