Florida, USA (October 09, 2014) - George Moraitis has been nominated to get the award for the best legislator of the year 2014. George, a legislator of the House of Representatives, district 93, Florida since November 2010, is being awarded the Florida Shore & Beach Preservation Association Best Legislator of the Year 2014 for his commitment towards his services, outstanding leadership and significant contribution to the association for beach preservation.

Representative George Moraitis, at present a partner with law firm of Moraitis, Cofar, Karney & Moraitis, practicing on real estate, estate planning and probate has pursued an outstanding career and as a representative of the State Legislature, has worked tirelessly for beach preservation. His outstanding effort in working for the community have made him bag the prestigious 2013 Florida Bar Distinguished Legislator Award, the 2013 and 2014 Florida League of Cities and the Broward League of Cities Legislative Appreciation Award, and an "A" rating from the Florida Chamber of Commerce.

George Moraitis is now going to be awarded the Best Legislator Award for his tireless efforts in advocating for the beaches at Broward County. He has taken the initiative in funding the association and has participated in programs oriented for improvement of beaches and their preservation. FSBPA announces its pleasure to be associated with representative George Moraitis and for the opportunity to get his advocacy. Being a passionate lover of beaches, George has tirelessly worked for preservation of beaches and has successfully pleaded to the legislature to consider the viability and economic benefit from these projects and response to storm damage in the process of appropriations.

As a distinguished representative of the state legislature, George has been holding responsible portfolios like Vice Chairman of The Finance and Tax Sub Committee and Choice and Innovation Sub Committee. He is also a member of Joint Administrative Procedures Committee, Local & Federal Affairs Committee and Insurance and Banking Sub Committee. His continuous pledge towards service has made him earn recognition for his honest leadership and work ethics. He has always worked for lessening tax burdens and for overcoming legal hurdles that come in the way of helping the community and for creating more job opportunities.
