What is Back Acne?

Back acne, also known as Bacne, is a type of acne caused on the back of the body. It is a type of acne, and caused due to excess oil present at the back as it consists of large skin part.
Presence of excessive oil glands leads to production of more sebaceous, bumping into acne. Moreover, this type of acne is caused majorly to the people with oily skin. The back pores clogged with skin cells due to secretion of excessive oil and heat.
It can be happened at any age for several reasons. Approximately 61% of people suffer from back acne which involves males majorly. Treatment of acne requires utmost care and precautions as it is a little typical part of body which remains covered.

What causes Back Acne?
To get rid of acne, it is more important to know the cause behind it because treatment is based upon the type of cause.

Back Acne are triggered because secretion of excess oil called sebum at the back. It is produced in the glands connected to hair follicles. Then, sebum moves the hair follicles upwards to add oil to skin and hair. This leads to the formation of acne when excess of sebum and dead skin cells takes place. Skin pores and bacteria gets built up. If the hair follicle wall gets swell out, it results in formation of whitehead pimple, but if the clogged pores get exposed to air, it results in forming blackhead pimple.


Some of the other causes that may lead to formation of acne are:-

Genetic: Back acne could be genetic disease received from any family member.

Hormones: Changes in hormones or excess of testosterone and androgen during puberty can be cause of acne formation at back.

Medications: Some antidepressants may infect and lead to acne formation. Be alert while taking medications, that it doesn’t cause any side effects.

Diet: Some carbohydrates enrich food item (white bread, potato chips etc.) increases the blood sugar level which may result in acne. Some of the dairy products also triggers acne. Thus, restriction to food products has not proven in total acne prevention.

Sweat: If you wear tight clothes or any fabric, generating more sweat into your body than it will result worse condition for acne. So, prefer wearing light coloured, loose cotton clothes which are body friendly.

Stress: Stress isn’t the direct factor triggering acne rather it can be the contributing factor.

Dandruff: Dandruff also causes acne. Avoid getting dandruffs. All causes need to be taken care for prevention and cure of back acne mentioned above.

Home Remedies for treatment of Back Acne

Baking Soda

It is best and most effective treatment at home. Baking soda balances the PH parity of skin. Apply the paste of baking soda and water on acne for about 5-8 minutes and rinse off with water. Repeat this for twice in a week.

Apple Cider Vinegar

It possesses the anti-bacterial and neutralizing the Ph parity of skin. Mix water with apple cider vinegar accordingly. You will get it in the liquid form, fill up the liquid in the spray bottle. Keep the bottle into refrigerator. Spray the liquid onto affected area every night before sleeping. Repeat this process for 2-3 times a day.

Lemon juice

Lemon contains citric acid which helps in deep cleansing of the pores deeply. Extract the lemon juice, and then apply the juice with the help of cotton pad or cotton ball on the affected area. Do not apply too much as it may create dryness.

Aloe Vera

Aloe Vera provides us multifarious benefits such anti-bacterial and inflammable properties for the cure and treatment of acne. It helps in skin smoothening and skin rejuvenation. Apply the aloe vera gel on the affected area, you will feel instant coolness and refreshed skin. Apply it for 2-3 times in a day for wondrous results.

Honey

Honey is the best answer to prevent various disease, because of its medicinal properties luckily acne is one of them. Honey serves as best cure for treating acne. Honey can be used in many ways by preparing its paste with oat meals, turmeric, coconut oil etc.

Lifestyle Changes

Exfoliation
Make sure keep your skin clean and maintain hygiene because dirt may worsen the acne causing infections. Use skin friendly scrubs for exfoliation.

Shower after workout

If we leave back with sweat and dirt for longer time, then this contributes to acne. So be punctual, to get the back immediately after workout by taking up a proper shower. Use skin friendly soap and body wash only.

Loose-fitting clothes

Prefer wearing loose fitting clothes that are heat friendly and doesn’t lead to body to sweat. Cotton is the best fabric to avoid sweat. Tight fitting causes irritation as it heats the back and blocks air to pass being an acne trigger.

Avoid keeping hair at back

Especially girls with long hair must avoid keeping their hair at back because hair may also contain dirt or dandruff which triggers acne and also who already have acne, gets irritated because of hair.

Healthy Diet

Consuming a healthy and balanced diet helps you to stay away from various diseases. Similarly, acne is one of them. Consume the food products that are healthy for skin and avoid all the food items(white bread, white sauce pasta) triggering acne.

Medication

Sometimes, the acne has an intense effect that it cannot get simply treated by the home remedies and requires a professional treatment. Professional treatment of acne is undertaken by the Dermatologist, a skin specialist. He understand and analyses the causes and type of acne and then provides oral medication or skin care products accordingly.
