Online real estate portal IndiaProperty has launched HomeView, a feature where house owners and agents can create a video walk through of their property, edit and upload it to the IndiaProperty Android app. They can do this by selecting video while listing their property, select room type, shoot 10 seconds videos of each room, add description, edit, crop, merge and upload as one video. The company says that the description will appear as subtitles within the video.

Discover app to show personalised info:

In June, the company launched an IndiaProperty app with a mobile property search engine called Discover. The Discover “engine” analysed data from the user’s property search to display a personalised feed in a Google Now cards style. The cards included news about the real estate industry, price trends, reports, localities of interest and recommended properties.

3D PanoX app:

In October last year, IndiaProperty.com launched a 3D PanoX app, which claimed to use the phone’s camera to provide home buyers a 3D virtual experience of the property. The feature was integrated into the IndiaProperty app and let builders integrate something called 3D panoX (possibly works like or is based on QR) in print media.

In July last year, the company revamped its browser UI by launching a 3D Virtual Property Tour feature, which provided users a 360 degree, panoramic view of projects, in tandem with a new ‘View Details’ page that offered an interactive interface. The 3D Virtual Property Tour provided users a 360 degree, panoramic view of projects.

In 2013, it tied up with the VideoMaps provider VidTeq to offer video directions for its property listings in Bangalore, Chennai and Hyderabad. In the same year, it launched a subscription-based service called Assisted Property for customers who needed assistance in finding and buying a property, in Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Pune and Hyderabad.

IndiaProperty’s funding:

In 2013, Indiaproperty.com had raised $12 million in Series B funding from Bertelsmann India Investments, the Indian investment arm of the German media conglomerate Bertelsmann with participation from existing investors Canaan Partners and Mayfield Fund. In the same year, it had also raised $7 million from Canaan Partners and Mayfield Fund.

As of now, the company claims to have over 5 million registered users with over 700,000 property listings, with over 8,000 builders and agents.
