Thus, the monitoring of displacement is critical for observing Vibration Analysis. The displacement can be:
1. Displacement of shaft from its axis
2. Rotational displacement
3. Radial displacement

When to use VMS?

There are Vibrations present in each and every machines and condition monitoring is required for preventive maintenance purpose. With Real time analysis of machines it becomes easy to observe the critical displacements in the machine.

With due course of time and usage of machines , there starts the changes in the condition of machines.

Preventive times starts when vibrations/ slight displacements are observed by Vibration Analysis.
Then after time gap excessive frictions can be observed which can be detected by oil analysis.

Then with due course of time if both the above mentioned symptoms are neglected, machine creates noise which is quite audible enough to know the deteriorating condition of machine.

After this, heat can be detected on the machine and then smoke can be seen which follows with shutdown of machine.

It is advisable for the Industries to monitor the real time status of machines to reduce the downtime and increase the productivity of the processes.
