10 to 2 Driving School

Learning to drive and pass your driving test couldn't be easier with our driving school in Leeds.

Driving. It’s something that, even as children, we aspire to be able to do. It looks so simple, especially if you watch the movies, but what does it really take to pass your driving test. For the vast majority of us, the first place to start is with some driving lessons. Whether you’re in Leeds, or another city, each one will offer a unique set of circumstances to the inexperienced driver.

The driving licence was first introduced in 1903, although in those days no test was required to receive it. The ‘driving test’ was launched with the Road Traffic Act in 1934. When it was first launched, the test was voluntary, but became compulsory a year later. The theory test came later and wasn’t introduced until 1996. The theory test started as a simple written examination, but was updated into more of what we know of today in 2000. The hazard perception test was added in November 2002.
So here we are in 2015 and if you’re looking for a driving school to help take you from complete novice to qualified driver, then look no further than the team here at 10 to 2 Driving School. If you’ve finally reached 17 and are itching to learn to drive or if you’ve waited until later in life to take the plunge, then we’re ready to help you. It may seem like a daunting experience, but you’ll be in safe hands with us. Our staff are all qualified, professional and patient, they never forget that they’ve all been in your place at one point. You can be sure to get the help you need, when you need it. Other schools may not always be so understanding.
Many people choose the easy route and have a friend or family member teach them to drive, but this comes with its own set of risks (and usually arguments). Everyone who has already passed their test, no matter who they are will always be quick to offer you their own pearls of wisdom to help you through. Depending on how long they’ve been driving, the tips will vary from the real gems to those that make no sense at all and yet they’ll all claim 100% success. They’ll claim to help you pass but, in reality, this is seldom the case. The vast majority of people only really find their own driving style once they’ve passed their test, so chances are you’ll be same. The longer people have been driving the more bad habits they will have adopted. They will almost certainly pass their bad habits on to you. This is where problems caused by non-professional driving instructors are created.
To ensure new drivers are trained in line with the modern day rules of the road and to give you the best chance of passing your test first time, you need to choose a driving school that suits you. Not all driving schools are the same, although they may appear to be. At 10 to 2, we have over 15 years of experience in teaching people to drive, and all our staff use that experience to get you ready for your tests as quickly, and safely, as possible. When you’re ready to learn, we’re more than ready to teach. We look forward to hearing from you.
