The field of nautical science is an intriguing one with numerous opportunities. IMI is currently offering diploma programs in nautical science for the 2017-18 academic year. The jobs that are available to people are expected to be intriguing as they entail programs in many fields relating to ship operations and commands. IMI is looking to help people take advantage of the growing economic climate by offering diploma programs to help them learn the ins and outs of nautical science.

IMI has announced its series of rules for allowing people to get a diploma in nautical science. The efforts for all colleges are expected to follow through with the requirements set up by the institute.

To start, there are age limits based on prior educational experience that all applicants at diploma in nautical science colleges are subjected to. Those who have completed the 12th class must be 17 to 20 years of age. Meanwhile, a person must be under the age of 22 to get into a program for electronics or under 25 for a college or tech degree.

Participants must have completed their necessary exams as well. Only those who have done well with their exams are capable of getting into the nautical science field. This includes getting at least 55 percent on one’s exams for the respective field a person wants to enter into.

Marital status rules have also been set up. In this, a student must be unmarried to get into one of these nautical science programs. This is primarily to allow participants to focus on their studies.

A series of additional reviews must also be used for each applicant who wants a proper entry into an academic program. A written exam is needed as well as a physical test. A mental health exam may also be used to determine if a person is sound and capable of handling a particular vessel.

Personal interviews are also being provided by the institute to review how well individuals can handle various tasks with boats in mind. Much of this includes looking into how well students understand how boats work and how they can make sensible decisions.

The programs are currently available through a variety of IMI offices. These include programs in Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra. Prospective students are encouraged to contact www.imi.edu.in for additional information on the application process and how they can benefit from nautical science degree programs in general.
