Address Proof: A photocopy of any one of the following will be enough – passport, Bank account statement, voter’s identity card, ration card, employer’s certificate, driving license, telephone or electricity bill, rent receipt, property tax assessment order, or certificate of address signed by a Legislative Assembly or Member of Parliament, Gazetted Officer or Municipal Councillor.

Photograph: The applicants must required to attach a new stamp-size colored photograph.

Some helpful instructions

• In your request, you will require to declare the designation and the code of the Assessing Officer from the IT Department.
• Make sure that you state the full name. Do not utilize initials.
• Any applicant can track the status of pan application on the NSDL or Taxxcel website – for this, you require to enter the acknowledgement number. An SMS tracking facility of status is also presented by Income Tax Department.
