Preparation – Preparation is actually an instrumental stage to reach the actual success of the negotiation process. It is one of the highly considerable stages of negotiation which includes the following activities such as gathering information, leverage evaluation, understand the people who are involved, rapport, know your objectives and also type of negotiation.

Opening – Opening phase is the second stage in the negotiation process. Here there are each party in two sides come face to face. They try to make the best impression on another side and also manipulate their thoughts at the initial opportunity. This particular stage is really very important in negotiation because it only sets the tone for the negotiation process to the largest extent.

Bargaining – The third phase will be bargaining which involves coming very closer to the objective you aimed to achieve when you began the negotiation. The basic strategy of this stage is to convince another side of the correctness of your demands and then convincing other parties to admit to such demands.

Closure – The closing phase is the last stage of this negotiation and it probably represents an opportunity to exploit on all of the work done in the early three phases. It as well as involves sealing of the agreement in which both the parties make official their agreement in the latter of intent or a written contract.
