Jofra Archer picks his first Test five-wicket haul

Jofra Archer has become a new sensation in the cricketing world after his brilliant performance in the World Cup 2019.

 
Jofra Archer has become a new sensation in the cricketing world after his brilliant performance in the World Cup 2019. He ended his World Cup campaign as the highest wicket-taker for the England Cricket team. Archer was omitted in the preliminary squad of England team but later was picked in the main squad for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019.

Jofra Archer made it to Test squad for the Ashes 2019 against Australia. He was not picked in the first Test match as he was not fully recovered from injury. Jofra Archer made his debut at the mecca of the cricket i.e. at the Lord's Cricket Ground. He picked 5 wickets in the 2nd Test match.

Archer was named in the 3rd Test match and England won the toss and opted to Bowl and Jofra Archer picked 6 wickets in 17.1 overs, his first five-wicket haul. Jofra dismissed David Warner for 61 (94) and changed the game for the team on day 1 as Australia were all out on Day 1 at 179 runs.

In the 2nd Test match at the Lord's one of the Jofra Archer's bouncers injured the man in form Steve Smith and he was retired hurt and later came back to bat. Steve Smith is ruled out from the 3rd Test match.

The former England cricketer Michael Vaughan pick twitter to praise about Jofra Archer and he tweeted, “What a bowler ... Can’t see how @JofraArcher doesn’t get 400 Test Wickets at least ... !! #Ashes”. Michael Vaughan was the one who questioned when he was not picked in the preliminary squad and he tweeted, “Jofra will play at the WC or I will be naked !!!!"
