Valitar’s producer says he is prepared to “wow” audiences with his new show at the Del Mar Fairgrounds.

Valitar will soon make its world premiere at the Del Mar Fairgrounds in San Diego. Producers Mark and Tatyana Remley have been developing and planning Valitar for several years, and they say it is surreal to watch the pieces of the production finally come together in a cohesive performance.

The Remley’s hired Sylvia Zerbini to direct Valitar, and they praised her ability to bring their vision for Valitar to fruition. Zerbini has worked with the horses, trapeze artists, trainers, and crew to bring together each piece of Valitar and form a single production. With extensive credentials, Zerbini promises that Valitar will be an impressive production of intricate routines and risky stunts.

After months of rehearsal, the Remley’s say they are excited to debut their fresh take on traditional trick riding shows. Valitar combines trick riding with acrobatics in a new way. “We want Valitar to tell the story of the powerful connection between horses and humanity,” says Valitar producer Mark Remley, “and we decided the most effective way to portray that story was to combine daring trapeze routines with heart-stopping thrill riding.”

The Remley’s teamed with Zerbini to orchestrate unique routines for Valitar. They claim that each stunt is something that has never been done before.

In addition to creating new routines, the Remley’s have purchased a distinct venue for their production. Valitar will be performed in a 45,000 square foot tent, which will be packed up to travel to each destination during their national tour following the debut in San Diego.

The Remley’s say they are proud of the production and are excited to unveil their masterpiece to the public. Zerbini continues conducting rehearsals to keep horses and performers healthy and confident before opening night. It is her job to make sure each performer is getting adequate rest and attention in between every rehearsal. “Without healthy performers and horses,” Mark Remley says, “Valitar cannot exist, so it is our job to make sure everyone stays in shape.”

With the world premiere quickly approaching, the tent is being prepared at the Del Mar Fairgrounds and tickets are beginning to sell. The Remley’s and Zerbini continue to work on the production so that it is ready for spectators in time.
