Tambi Renee Recommends the Elimination of Cat Declawing

The practice of declawing, says animal rights supporter Tambi Renee, should end immediately.

Tambi Renee has spent her lifetime caring for the health and safety of animals. She believes that every animal, particularly pets, are generally defenseless, and that each one deserves an owner that works to keep them out of harm’s way. One such practice that continues to inflict undue pain onto animals is declawing, which, as Tambi Renee emphasizes, has many negative and painful effects for household cats. The practice, she believes, has no place in pet ownership, and can render an extreme amount of pain and misery onto an animal for the remainder of their lives.

Cat declawing, according to the Humane Society, is viewed by many pet owners as a harmless way to prevent injury from scratching, as well as a way to protect a homeowner’s furniture from being destroyed. What many people don’t realize, says Tambi Renee, is that cat declawing has the potential to lead to other, potentially more harmful threats to a person’s health, such as reduced litter-box usage, an increased presence of fleas and the increased possibility of biting. The health and personal safety threats of declawing actually outweigh any perceived benefit, says the Human Society. In fact, declawing often poses a major health threat to the cat itself, leading to needless pain and deformity.

Tambi Renee is working to raise awareness of the detriments of cat declawing. As the Human Society states, declawing can lead to even worse behavioral and health problems for the cat, and can have severe after effects that can threaten the quality of the pet owner-cat relationship. Declawing, says the Human Society, is tantamount to amputation, and can lead to issues of infection, tissue death, lameness and even back pain. Tambi Renee knows that many people aren’t aware of the major issues surrounding cat declawing, and she hopes that by sharing this information, she will be sparing many cats across the agony of an outdated and highly painful procedure.

Tambi Renee cares about the health of all household animals. She understands that it is ultimately up to the pet owner to protect the welfare of their pets. Tambi works tirelessly to provide people with the information they need to know about cat declawing.
