College graduate Susan Matta of Austin was recently hired by the Jack S. Blanton Museum of Art. The museum was looking to hire someone young, enthusiastic, and artistic, and Susan Matta of Austin fit the bill perfectly. Susan Matta of Austin graduated from the University of Idaho in 2010 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Art & Design. The museum felt that she had an “eye for detail” and hired her without hesitation. Susan Matta of Austin felt right at home accepting a job at a university museum having graduated from a university recently.
Susan Matta of Austin was born in the sleepy town of Sandpoint, Idaho. Tourists are drawn to the town by the ski-resort in the winter and by the lake in the summer. Susan Matta of Austin loved the childhood that Sandpoint provided her but she knew that she couldn’t live there forever. The University of Idaho seemed like the perfect fit for Susan Matta of Austin, offering the degree that she had wanted to pursue since she was young. Art is something that can be found anywhere, but Susan Matta of Austin wanted something more. She wanted to move somewhere where art thrived and for that reason she chose Austin, Texas.
The Jack S. Blanton Museum of Art was the perfect fit for Susan Matta of Austin and she couldn’t have been more thrilled about the opportunity. “I never dreamed that I would have found something so perfect and so quickly upon arriving in Austin. I am so grateful to the Blanton Museum for hiring me and I won’t let them down!”
The Jack S. Blanton Museum of Art was founded in 1963 and is part of the University of Texas. Susan Matta of Austin loves that the museum is part of a university because it made for an easy transition, recently coming from a university herself. The museum offers more than 7,000 works of art, all of which Susan Matta of Austin hopes to see during her time of employment. Susan Matta of Austin is extremely grateful for the opportunity and excited about her future at the Jack S. Blanton Museum of Art.
