Igor Purlantov Uses Spartacus Foundation to Raise Funds for Endangered Animals

Igor Purlantov announces one of the many focuses of his own Spartacus Foundation: to raise money for animals that are endangered or threatened.

Igor Purlantov is pleased to announce that his own foundation, the Spartacus Foundation, will be using much of its funding to help out with endangered species efforts all over the world. A foundation that was originally formed in memory of Spartacus, a cat that belonged to Igor Purlantov, the Spartacus Foundation has grown to fund many different kinds of projects all over the world. From humane societies to the ASPCA, Igor Purlantov and the Spartacus Foundation have been doing this important work for quite some time.

“I am excited to expand outside of the United States,” says Igor Purlantov. “Animal rights does not just mean helping out at a shelter. Many animals are suffering habitat destruction, poaching, and scarcity of food all over the world.” For Igor Purlantov, taking an “out of sight, out of mind” approach to endangered and threatened animal species worldwide is simply not an option.

As a matter of fact, it is for this reason that Igor Purlantov so strongly supports organizations such as Save the Elephants and the Hoedspruit Endangered Species Centre. According to Igor Purlantov, Save the Elephants works to promote the welfare of both Asian and African elephants, conducting research and helping to shut down the ivory trade once and for all. Organizations such as Save the Elephants also help by educating young people, especially those who share nations with these amazing animals, says Igor Purlantov.

According to Igor Purlantov, other conservation efforts are just as important. That is why Igor Purlantov works to support the Hoedspruit Endangered Species Centre. This important organization not only does the important work of educating students and the general public about endangered species, but also has a captive breeding program, says Igor Purlantov.

According to Igor Purlantov, captive breeding is important because it creates a controlled environment for animals to thrive. Then, says Igor Purlantov, the Hoedspruit Endangered Species Centre releases captive-bred animals such as cheetahs into the wild to help repopulate the animals’ natural habitat.
