Gate Investment Group magazine Wealth Report is a celebration of prosperity

Gates Investment Group founder Richard Nel says The Wealth Report is all about the love of prosperity. They launched the glossy magazine in South Africa in 2008, as a publication that celebrates the aspirations, inspirations, and passions of its readers. "The magazine showcased and reported only on the best of the best in the fast lane," Richard Nel says.

Former Miss South Africa Claudia Henkel served as the magazine's first Chief Executive Officer. Before she was named Miss South Africa in 2005, she was a full time law student and part time model. Once her reign as Miss South Africa came to an end she decided to enter the corporate world.

The Wealth Report was a hit right from the start, and Gate Investment Group's Richard Nel credits its success to human nature: "That even in a time when the markets look tumultuous and talk of recession rages around the globe, people continue to covet exotic cars, long for the tranquility of luxurious destinations, use executive transport, and exalted in the trappings of power and the ultimate experiences."

The Wealth Report, under the stewardship of Claudia Henkel, catered to those aspirations, "and celebrates good old fashioned prosperity," says Richard Nel. He adds that all work and no play make for a dull lifestyle, and this is also a part of the credo of The Wealth Report. He relieves some of the dullness with an interest in Ferraris; he is a member of SEFAC, an organization of Ferrari enthusiasts in South Africa. He is also an enthusiastic polo player, and his success has allowed him to pursue the sport.

The Gate Investment Group, meanwhile, has grown into an investment and business conglomerate that is valued in excess of R2.6 billion. The Gate Investment Group is constantly looking for opportunities to optimize returns on its investments. The enterprise structures financing solutions for small to medium sized businesses using equity, shareholder loan accounts, revenue sharing and term loans, or some combination of these.

The Gate Investment Group uses a unique system that ensures partner enterprise objectives are met, and that solutions retain their optimal value beyond implementation. Gate Investments considers financing applications of up to R25 million in all sectors of the economy.
