For as long as he can remember, Azazul Fikar has been all about setting and achieving goals. Even as a young lad in Bangladesh, Azazul Fikar remembers that he always had some goal in mind, something that he was shooting for. After graduating with a computer degree from a university in Bangladesh, Azazul Fikar had already learned English and he soon moved to the United States to begin a career in technology and pharmaceutical production. That career took off rather quickly, with Azazul Fikar being promoted through the corporate ranks year after year and eventually becoming a manager at a major pharmaceutical production lab. Each of these promotions was the direct result of Azazul Fikar’s having set a goal for himself, then having worked hard to achieve that goal. As a result, Azazul Fikar is enjoying his successes rather than wondering what could have been.

“Setting and achieving goals is a part of my nature, and I believe it is an important part of human nature,” Azazul Fikar was quoted as saying. “Without setting goals for ourselves we can end up stagnating, with nothing to aim for and nowhere to look to move out of our current situation. We can begin to stagnate, which is a bad thing for a human being to do.”

In order to avoid this kind of stagnation, Azazul Fikar has kept his eyes always forward, never backward. In moving through the ranks of the corporate world Azazul Fikar has continued to maintain this goal oriented mentality, while at the same time being a truly caring person and a team player who works extremely well with others. This is a skill set that is rare to find, yet Azazul Fikar possesses it in spades.

Azazul Fikar recognizes that he has been granted certain opportunities, but he does not consider that this is just luck. “People make their own luck,” Azazul Fikar was quoted as saying. “One has to take advantage of the opportunity when it presents itself – one has to recognize that it is an opportunity in the first place. This is not luck, this is awareness and action.”
