Sarah Eller is a young married, a 30-something starting her life as a social studies teacher as a native of Raleigh, North Carolina. A wholesome and child-friendly environment, in a scenic warm climate, leads to lots of options for families to play together, like visiting the Marbles Kids Museum or riding the historic carousel or touring with the tourist train at Pullen Park. Sarah Eller and her new husband might have chosen historic and romantic Washington, D.C., or the high income levels of San Jose, California. High on Sarah Eller’s list for consideration for a new married home must have been the nearby city of Charlotte, also in North Carolina. Charlotte is a city with lots of southern charm, but is also a high-activity financial center, having become the headquarters of Bank of America and Wells Fargo.

Nonetheless, Sarah Eller and her new spouse chose her native city, Raleigh, to begin their lives. Raleigh ranks high on the list of desirable urban areas to begin a married life, with rich cultural traditions, good restaurants and enjoyable night life, good job and financial prospects, and in many case a relatively lower cost of living, helping to ease the way into financial stability.
