David Sirbasku is a scientist who has received many accolades for his lifetime of research and work. He is proud of all that he accomplished and remembers how hard he always worked to achieve his goals. Aside from his usual awards, fellowships and such, he began being nominated for listing in the Marquis Who’s Who publications in the late 90s.

“When the Who’s Who people contacted me the first time, I really thought nothing of it. As the years went on and I was receiving consistent invitations to be listed in their publications, I realized that it really was an honor. Sometimes when you are so buried in your work, you can barely pull away to realize what is going on around you,” said David Sirbasku.

First, David Sirbasku was invited to be listed in Who’s Who in Science and Engineering for 1998-1999. Directly after that, for the 1999-2000 year, he was invited to be listed in Who’s Who in the World and Who’s Who in America.

“I was particularly honored by the world and America listings. I have always respected the founder’s criteria for choosing those who are listed. Albert Nelson Marquis felt those who were leading lives filled with accomplishments and notable achievements ought to be listed. It is a reference point with short biographical information about the person,” said David Sirbasku.

David Sirbasku was also invited to be listed in the International Who’s Who of Professionals in 1998, 1999 and 2000. In addition, he was invited to be listed in Who’s Who in Medicine in 1999, 2000 and 2001. Finally, he was listed in Who’s Who in the South and Southwest in 1999 and 2000 along with American Men and Women of Science in 2001 and 2002.

“I am appreciative of each and every time my work has been acknowledged throughout the United States and world. To some, being featured in the Who’s Who publications was simply a listing but I saw it as evidence of a mark that I was making,” said David Sirbasku.

David Sirbasku continues to make his mark now that he is the CEO of his own company, Signe BioPharm.
