There are many small business owners and entrepreneurs across the United States. Not every entrepreneur manages to create a successful business on their first attempt, but there are some who are successful from the beginning and at a young age. Businessman Wayne Hartung was one of the young visionaries who built a decade’s long successful business before he was 20.

Wayne Hartung attended the University of Alabama where he completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Business. When he was 24, Wayne Hartung was hired by a small collision company in Alabama. “When I was hired, the company was relatively small. The company had five collision centers but I knew if given the opportunity, I could be a valuable asset to the company,” says Wayne Hartung.

Two years after Wayne Hartung was hired, he became the company’s Vice President. “As Vice President, I was able to help develop business strategies and was recognized for the skills I possessed and continued to develop,” says Wayne Hartung. It was during his time as Vice President that the collision company Wayne Hartung worked for grew to the status of a Fortune 500 company.

“Many people were impressed with what I accomplished as Vice President and that I was able to develop such strong business growth strategies at such a young age,” says Wayne Hartung. Growing the small company to a large company with the status of a Fortune 500 company gained a lot of local recognition for Wayne Hartung and earned him recognition from Senator Tom Delay.

Senator Tom Delay appointed Wayne Hartung to become the small business delegate for lower Alabama. Wayne Hartung used his business insights to share the needs and concerns of small businesses before Congress. “I am proud of what I have accomplished in business. I am also grateful that Senator Tom Delay had confidence in my skills to present hundreds of businesses before Congress,” says Wayne Hartung.
In 2013, Wayne Hartung is still a hard working business professional. He continues to operate Hartung Commercial Properties, which he founded in1988. In 1998, Wayne Hartung became the President of Marshall Auto Painting and Collision.
