Thomas A. Greaney: A Respected Human Resource Professional

For 20-years, Thomas A. Greaney has been a Human Resource professional. He has worked for some Fortune 500 companies and even served as the 2nd Vice President of Human Resources at Guardian.

 
Thomas A. Greaney has been a respected Human Resource professional for over 20-years. Thomas attended New York University where he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Behavior and Communication. He was also awarded the prestigious Founders Day Award for his academic excellence while attending the University.

After graduation, Thomas A. Greaney moved to Tokyo, Japan and became an Independent Human Resources Training Consultant. For the next five years, Thomas traveled to large national and multi-national organizations throughout Japan, Thailand, and Australia to help the companies develop and deliver corporate awareness and training programs. This opportunity allowed him to develop his skills as a Human Resource professional, which he brought back to the state.

After returning to the United States, Thomas A. Greaney became a Senior Staffing Consultant for Kaiser Permanente. During this time, he honed his skills and expanded his knowledge base in employee recruiting. Overseeing a staff of 80, Thomas helped to implement a new resume tracking system and was in charge of staffing a 200-person Human Resource call center.

Thomas A. Greaney greatest accomplishment came when he was hired by Guardian in New York, New York. For 13-years, Thomas increased his skill set and expanded his knowledge base, becoming an expert in leadership development, organizational development, talent management, employee relations, HRIS, and project management, as well as many human resource fields. After years of hard work, Thomas became the second Vice President of Human Resources responsible for the leadership of 2600 employees across the nation, managing a staff of eight. Thomas helped to provide upper management with both strategic and operational leadership and managed group employee benefits for more than five million people.

Today, Thomas A. Greaney is responsible for the US Region Consumer Lines HR organization at AIG where he has provided support for the business leadership of Consumer Lines, migrated the HR support to Consumer lines, and re-organized and reduced the number of HR resource within two separate regions of the company. Thomas has amassed a set of skills that have led him to become highly respected in the Human Resources industry.
