Tejas Jivan enjoys following and watching many sports and teams, though his primary passion is, and has always been, directed towards University of Florida football. Proud to call himself a dedicated member of the “Gator Nation”, Jivan is excitedly preparing for and anticipating a huge victory against East Carolina in the January 3, 2015 Birmingham Bowl.

Though the 2014 Gators football season fell well short of many fans expectations, Tejas Jivan, along with many of his fellow fans and UF students are excited about the changes the team has recently made at the coaching position. Having recently let go Will Muschamp, the Gators were searching for an answer that would help to reestablish and solidify their position as one of the top programs in the South Eastern Conference. With the recent pickup of former Alabama Offensive Coordinator and Colorado State University Head Coach Jim McElwain, both Jivan and the rest of Gator nation are hopeful that their team’s fortunes will finally turn around, and that the team will soon and once again become the SEC powerhouse they became known as over the last two decades.

Tejas Jivan, who is originally from Lake City, Florida, grew up surrounded by Gator Nation, and made an easy and obvious choice when it came time to showing which team would garner his full support and passion. A dedicated Gator fan for many years, Jivan now enjoys both living and studying very near to Ben Hill Griffin Staidum, which plays host to nearly 90,000 screaming Gator fans during each and every home game. Known affectionately as ‘The Swamp’, Ben Hill Griffin Stadium offers fans the chance to root for their team not only amongst the best crowds in college football, but also in one of the best-known and most storied venues in the country.

Tejas Divan is currently studying as a medical student at UF, and promises to have a very bright future ahead of him. He is proud to have the opportunity to receive an education as a member of the Gator Nation, and to be a part of such a special and transformative era in the annals of Gator football.
