Ryan R Johnson is the new President of Production for Night Fox Entertainment, a film production and financing company founded by Timothy Christian. Upon its launch, Night Fox raised approximately $50 million that will be used to acquire, finance, develop, and produce motion pictures across all kinds of platforms.

Ryan R Johnson was brought on board to help Night Fox Entertainment with the production side of the business, and Christian could not be more excited for Johnson to start.

“Ryan Johnson has built an amazing network of relationships and he has his finger on the pulse of Hollywood.”

Johnson’s role is quite simple and straightforward. Each movie that Night Fox Entertainment takes on will be given about $5 million to start production with. Ryan Johnson will handle helping films finish finding their funding.

“Johnson will look for emerging and established filmmakers whose sensibilities align with the company,” said Christian.

Ryan R Johnson began his career in the film industry in 1996 when he was the stunt and body double for the Green Power Ranger in the Mighty Morphin Power Ranger television show. He ended his acting career quick and soon latched on to Mandalay Entertainment. He rose up the company quickly, starting out as an intern, serving as the assistant to a couple of producers, and finally being promoted to the Head of Development. While with Mandalay he oversaw the development of Enemy at the Gates, The Score, Into the Blue, and Beyond Borders.

In 2003, Ryan R Johnson founded Pretty Dangerous Films, a production company that produced 18 films in the companies first four years. Two of those films, The Heart is Deceitful Above All Things, starring Jeremy Renner and Winona Ryder, and Edmond, starring William H. Macy, Denise Richards, and Julia Styles, were headliners at the Cannes Film Festival.

Ryan R Johnson will continue in his role as President and CEO of The Film House. Johnson and Michael P. Haggerty founded The Film House in 2013. The Film House is a global film distribution company and owns a studio in Syracuse, New York. The studio was built for students to use and help them kick-start their careers in the independent film industry.
