Jode Corporation, John G Harp's newest business venture, provides maintenance services to the fiber optics and broadband networks in the Western half of the United States. Since its inception in 2000, Jode Corporation has grown to manage nearly 17,000 miles of cable. Such a massive undertaking requires a leader that has his hands buried deep in the management of the company. John G Harp invested as much time as was needed in the business, and led Jode Corporation through many difficult situations and tough times before growing into a powerful player in the fiber optics industry.

John G Harp was honest about the difficult beginnings with the company. “Any time you try to start up a new business, you are going to face challenges.” John G Harp said, “And the important thing is that you keep pushing and get through them. Without that determination and drive, it really is impossible to have a successful business.” John G Harp's determination rubbed off on the people under him in the corporation, and resiliency was one of the main characteristics the employees of Jode Corporation throughout John G Harp's tenure as President.

As John G Harp founded Jode Corporation in 2000, he invested a sum of $10,000 in the fledging company. Under John G Harp's leadership, the company grew rapidly and in 2004, John G Harp sold Jode Corporation for a substantial profit.

Because of his initial leadership, John G Harp stayed on staff after his sale of the company, accepting a position as Vice President of Business Development for the new parent company, LEDCOR.
