Indie author Michelle von Quilich told local writers that her debut novel is nearly completed. von Quilich says that she feels the last of the writing is coming together as she continues to construct and refine lines from a few of her more complex works she has worked on but has never shared.

Michelle von Quilich has spent years developing her novel. She says that her years of traveling, to a few countries in Europe, has broadened her perspective on the world, and she hopes to share her insights and perspectives with as many readers as possible. Her connection to the community was what made her pursue publication, she says. Encouraged by other writers in the community self-publishing their work and seeing success, she decided to pursue publishing as well.

Michelle von Quilich contributed to the eBook Creators of Las Vegas book Reflections on Being an Indie Author in 2012. Her essay, along with essays from many other indie authors, including Frank Dobrucki and Robin Heck, offers sincere, realistic and encouraging advice to budding indie authors around the country and the world. von Quilich hopes that her essay and the eBook Creators of Las Vegas’ project will help people find the courage to publish their work.

Michelle von Quilich sees her art as her job, but she is also a talented customer service representative. She works hard at her job to support herself while still approaching her writing with the seriousness and the dedication it deserves. By taking this approach, she can take risks with her writing and turn out her best work. She says that she tries to capture a sense of wonder and curiosity, two senses that came out of traveling and learning about other cultures and where they fit into the world. She aspires to be an author and sell her work to e-book buyers online. She hopes that her writing will inspire and intrigue her readers worldwide for years to come.
Michelle von Quilich is nearing the end of her first full-length publication. She says that she can’t wait to see what happens and that she will continue writing.
