Michelle Daly Deschryver is a freelance photographer based in Reno, Nevada. She got her start six years ago and has been working with local clients ever since. Over the years, she has moved up from shooting primarily weddings (although she still shoots weddings) to working with local magazines. This week, Deschryver announced that she will be taking on a new local magazine client, Desert Climate.

Michelle Daly Deschryver says that her new partnership with Desert Climate is perfect for her because of her love of nature and being outdoors. She has long been fascinated by the desert ecosystem just outside of Reno, and she has taken any job that requires her to go out into the wild for shots of the scenery and the fauna.

Desert Climate is a relative new publication. Mostly interested in the local ecology, the magazine has produced in its first sixteen issues hundreds of excellent wildlife shots. As the magazine has grown, the management team at Desert Climate needed more photographers who can get the shots they need to continue running the magazine. Michelle Daly Deschryver was one of the first freelance photographers the team at Desert Climate called for this job. Deschryver has long been known for her reliability and her natural talent for getting the shot.

Desert Climate and Michelle Daly Deschryver have only recently started working together, so her work has yet to be featured, but the head editor of Desert Climate, Mark Shabazz, says that she has the talent to make the cover if she can continue to work in the way that she has with other clients in the past. Deschryver was brought into work with the magazine because of her well-known ability to create the work that all of her clients need on deadline and on budget.

Michelle Daly Deschryver has lived in Reno her whole life, and she says that she doesn’t plan on leaving. Her connection to the community is unmistakable. She works with local schools, where her kids go, to help students develop their natural artistic talent and to help them discover the opportunities for those who follow their dreams.
