Melvin McDonald of French Valley, the current President of American All Star Basketball (AASB), recently received a $5,000 donation from Richard E. for his non-profit travel basketball organization. AASB, run by Melvin McDonald of French Valley, is a travel basketball program for youth. Located in Southern California, AASB allows underprivileged youth to participate in travel basketball and receive top quality coaching from mentors such as Melvin McDonald of French Valley and other volunteer coaches.
At AASB, all of the staff, including Melvin McDonald of French Valley, volunteer their time and do not receive compensation. In regard to the $5,000 donation, Melvin McDonald of French Valley stated, “This money will go entirely to the players in AASB. They are the reason this organization exists, and we want every cent we raise to contribute to better equipment and other resources for them.” For others interested in donating to this worthy cause, 100% of all money raised will benefit the players in program.
AASB is a special program because it uses donations to help underprivileged youth attend for free. Melvin McDonald of French Valley is dedicated to continuing to provide this travel basketball program to more and more students free of cost. This enables those who could not normally afford to take part in travel basketball to do so. Melvin McDonald of French Valley has been aiding high risk and underprivileged youth in the Southern California area for the past 15 years, and as President of AASB, he continues to do so.
Much research has shown the benefits of extracurricular activities, such as athletics, for at risk youth. Melvin McDonald of French Valley has seen the amazing results that athletics can have for underprivileged youth, and he has chosen to dedicate his time to this cause through AASB. A disabled combat veteran who served in the U.S. Marine Corp, Melvin McDonald of French Valley serves both his country and his community. This $5,000 will further the efforts of Melvin McDonald of French Valley at AASB, and it will enable him to continue providing for high risk youth in the Southern California area through travel basketball.
