Martin J Sweeney of Dallas Celebrates Cowboys Season

Martin J Sweeney of Dallas is proud of the Cowboys’ 2014 performance.

Now that the football season is coming to an end and the Seattle Seahawks and the New England Patriots will soon be competing in Super Bowl XLIX, Martin J Sweeney of Dallas has taken time to reflect upon the exceptional year that the Dallas Cowboys just had; and how it reflects upon a bigger opportunity t make it to the Super Bowl in 2016.

Martin J Sweeney has been a Dallas Cowboys fan for a long time; and he and his wife had moved to the area back in 1985 without ever looking back. Their enthusiasm for the sports teams in the area reflect a bigger sense of community that they have appreciated ever since moving and raising a family there. Now with two daughters, their family all enjoy spending their time together watching America’s Team play. And this year was especially exciting for them, too.

For the first time in five years, the Cowboys had made it to the playoffs. If one were to guess how the team would perform in 2014/15 based solely off their preseason performance, well, it didn’t look good. With Tony Romo recovering from back surgery early in the season, the team didn’t have a single win in the preseason and seemed to get off to a slow start as their recovering quarterback made a return. Once Martin J Sweeney of Dallas regained his performance abilities, the Cowboys went on a six game winning streak that started with a win over the Titans, and rudely ended with a loss to the team’s top rival, the Washington Redskins. But the rest of the season they looked strong; and they had several wins before meeting with the Redskins again, and dominating them with a 44-17 win at the end of the regular season, leaving the Cowboys with a 12-4 record that earned them a spot in the NFC East Wild Card game. It was their first playoff appearance since 2009; and even though they lost to the Green Bay Packers, the team showed lots of heart and talent throughout the season. For Martin J Sweeney of Dallas, he will be counting the days until his favorite team can avenge their playoff loss.
