Real estate is a changing and evolving industry like any other. Many real estate agencies have turned to the power of the internet to help sell homes and properties. In 2013, Luke Buchanan joined the Washington Fine Properties team and works as Marketing and Operations Manager in the office of Margot Wilson.

“Before working in real estate, I was employed at an advertising firm in Santa Monica, California. I was an associate strategist but didn’t feel comfortable with my work. It wasn’t what I wanted for my career,” says Luke Buchanan.

It was in late 2012 that Luke Buchanan decided to return to Washington, D.C. and take the necessary work and exams to work in real estate. “It was a wonderful day when I received my license. It was almost like graduating university again,” says Luke Buchanan. He received his D.C. Real Estate Salesperson license April 14, 2013. Before becoming licensed, Luke Buchanan had already joined the American Marketing Society. In the late summer of 2013, Luke Buchanan celebrated the one year anniversary of his membership.

After becoming licensed to sell real estate in Washington, D.C. Luke Buchanan wanted to join a real estate firm with a glowing reputation. Being hired by Washington Fine Properties was a fantastic opportunity for a young aspiring professional like Luke Buchanan.

Washington Fine Properties has been mentioned in the news several times and many of the homes for sale appear on prominent websites like realtor.com.

In six months time, Luke Buchanan was already proving to be a valuable asset to the company. Understanding the challenges and stresses families face when buying and purchasing a new house, Luke Buchanan remains patient and optimistic while pointing out how each residential property would suit the needs of each family. Luke Buchanan believes he has a natural aptitude for real estate work and plans to remain with his employer for the career opportunities it may provide and the outstanding reputation the realtors already maintain.
