Lee Wiggins is a highly successful and experienced business man. Recently he shared some of his advice and experiences with a group of college students interested in pursuing careers in the fields of finance and investments.

There was a rather large audience, and Lee Wiggins spoke for around 45 minutes. He then left the rest of the time open for questions and discussion. “I wanted to make sure I wasn’t speaking above or below them. I always want to speak right at the level people are at. That’s why I spent so much time answering questions. If I’m not directly answering pertinent questions they have, how much help I am really being?” said Lee Wiggins.

Lee Wiggins worked for Tullett & Tokyo FX for eighteen years, serving in a variety of positions including board director. He left the company in great shape, after developing the Dollar Yen section to the number one spot and setting up the entire Euro section. Lee Wiggins left to establish GPD Investments, a European based property investments and development group with offices in London, Dubai, and Geneva. In just five years, Lee Wiggins took GPD to a balance sheet of $600M. His most successful venture has been creating a multi-use development project in downtown Dubai. The development, known as Empire Heights, consists of two sixteen story towers designed to house offices, retail, and restaurants.

“I’ve had the chance to experience a lot of different things in the world of finance and investing. I’m at a point in my life where I now want to share advice with the younger generation,” said Lee Wiggins. “When I was in my early twenties, I soaked up all the advice I could get,” Lee Wiggins continued.

Lee Wiggins spent the majority of his seminar talking about taking smart risks and analyzing future opportunities before they come. He used examples from his time at Tullett & Tokyo, as well as stories from his recent experiences developing Empire Heights.

Those in attendance came away from Lee Wiggins’ seminar with a better understanding of what it takes to be successful in the ever-changing world of finance and investing.
