Tennis has played a very important and very large role in Jim Huneke’s life. As a certified tennis pro and avid tennis player, it’s hard to find one aspect of his life that tennis hasn’t been a part of.

With 25 years of membership in the United States Tennis Association, Jim Huneke has proven his commitment to the game. As a player, coach, professional and mentor, Jim Huneke has made tennis his most enduring interest. He is strongly committed to contribute to the game of tennis in any way that he can.

Jim Huneke has a decade-and-a-half of tennis coaching and teaching experience. He has served multiple high schools as both an assistant coach and a head coach, providing professional-quality coaching to teams in both Minnesota and Illinois.

Many young players have reaped numerous benefits from Jim Huneke’s professional tennis expertise and experience as a player. Since 1997, many high school players have had the chance to develop their skills under the tutelage of Jim Huneke, who was himself a talented player on the St. Cloud University Division II tennis team. He played college tennis from 1996 to 1999. Jim has been a major influence on and has successfully improved many young players’ games. He has done this through expert advice based on many years of learning and experience.

Jim Huneke entered into coaching shortly after college graduation. He accepted the position of head coach of the South Junior High Boys’ and Girls’ tennis teams in 1997, remaining there until 2000. He then had brief coaching stints at multiple schools, including Monticello High School, Maple Grove High School, Geneva High School and Lake Forest College. Jim Huneke is proud of the time he had to have a positive influence on so many young and up-and-coming players.

Jim is also an experienced tennis professional. He has built a successful professional career providing people of all ages the tools they need to improve their tennis skills. Jim Huneke has worked with several clubs and organizations since 2001. His professional tennis resume has become quite extensive, and continues to provide him with future opportunities.
