International finance is not the only passion that Jelica Todorovic holds dear. Despite the fact that the businesswoman is a leader in the international finance world and that her services are sought after by some of the top international corporations and investors, Jelica Todorovic still manages to find time to give back to the surrounding communities and help those less fortunate. According to Jelica Todorovic, her latest initiative is a project known as Project Generation X, an outreach program to help those less fortunate and at-risk youth.

Project Generation X, says Jelica Todorovic, is designed to provide help and assistance to teens who are in foster care and suffering from financial hardship or other misfortune. Her vision for the program includes providing outreach to those who most need it, services including counseling and job services, and more to these troubled teens, says Jelica Todorovic. Jelica Todorovic finds the work difficult in a very different way from her day job in the finance world, and rewarding in a very different way as well.

“Working with Project Generation X has already proven to be its own reward,” Jelica Todorovic was quoted as saying. “The opportunity to help these troubled teens has really gotten me to thinking about my own situation, and how I might be able to provide even more assistance to those less fortunate. Every day I work in finance and work with numbers, so perhaps I can leverage that into helping others understand money, maybe providing an education to these youths that will help them find future jobs. My mind is racing at the prospects.”

Jelica Todorovic also does volunteer work and fundraising for various charity and philanthropic organizations in the United States and Serbia. “The work is its own reward,” says Jelica Todorovic of the fundraising and philanthropy. “I am not doing it for the credit, to make myself look good. I do it because I am passionate, I believe in helping people, and I believe in the power of helping others and paying it forward.”

The attitude that Jelica Todorovic has towards the work is refreshing to see. Jelica Todorovic says she plans to continue providing help and support to programs like Project Generation X for as long as it takes.
